"SO you’ve set your heart on becoming a member of the cabin crew. You love the idea of flying to the four corners of the world, staying in lavish hotels and getting a great suntan. You’ve seen the Hollywood movie “Catch Me if you Can” where Leonardo DiCaprio walks through the terminal with the Pan Am stewardesses and it all looks a piece of cake..."

Embarking on a career in the travel industry can be a complete lifestyle
change, not more so than becoming a member of the Cabin Crew.
We all thrive on routine but this is something Cabin Crew do not get.
Expect working hours to be completely varied, you will have to pack
your bags and head off at anytime day or night.  Expect to be
‘drinkless’ on Friday and Saturday night as your mates ‘large it up’ in
your favourite club.

But, the unpredictability of Cabin Crew life contributes towards what
is a unique working experience.   They certainly work hard and play
hard and no two flights will be the same, but just remember not every
member of the Cabin Crew get to fly to exotic holiday destinations.

Prior to getting your ‘wings’ you will have intensive induction training.
Airlines allow approximately six weeks but sometimes extra work is
required i.e. homework or pre induction work.   The aviation industry,
for obvious reason, is heavily regulated.  Airlines will not budge on
minimum requirements so don’t expect any concessions.
