"SO you’ve set your heart on becoming a member of the cabin crew. You love the idea of flying to the four corners of the world, staying in lavish hotels and getting a great suntan. You’ve seen the Hollywood movie “Catch Me if you Can” where Leonardo DiCaprio walks through the terminal with the Pan Am stewardesses and it all looks a piece of cake..."

Monarch are known for their package holidays and are considered a low cost
airline.  I would expect the Cabin Crew salary to be similar to Easyjet.

However, I did notice that the company provided additional salary incentives;
bonus payments for second languages and nurses who hold a valid UKCC
pin number.

Two statements on Monarch’s website caught my eye.  The first statement read
‘Transform your career in 5 weeks?’.  This statement excites and you want to
immediately hand in your notice at work and pack your bags.
The second statement on Monarch’s website didn’t enthuse, it almost implied that
Cabin Crew employees come and go, it read ‘Acquiring life skills for future career
development - Cabin Crew training and experience offers the opportunity to
acquire and develop a range of keyskills, which will prove invaluable later in life.’

Monarch’s website claim ‘the most well equipped’ relates to the number and type
of aircraft but I would have put my money on British Airways being most endowed.

Unlike Easyjet or other short haul, low-cost airlines, Monarch do offer the opportunity
to travel long haul.  Long haul destinations include the Caribbean,
USA, Africa and India.
